1st Framwellgate Moor Scout Group is a registered charity, run entirely by our amazing team of dedicated volunteers. We rely on donations and fundraising, along with our subscriptions, to enable us to provide our young people with fun, adventure and skills for life.
The money we raise helps to buy new and replacement equipment, as well as help us to improve and maintain our Scout Hut.
We also have a hardship fund that our Scout families can access – making sure that cost is not a barrier to Scouting.
Occasionally we also fundraise to help young people and volunteers attend international events – recently our young people and volunteers have fundraised to be able to attend Moots and Jamborees in Canada, Japan, Iceland, USA and Switzerland.
We are currently looking to expand our fundraising – this page will be updated regularly with new ways to help us fundraise.

Gift Aid is a really important source of funding for the group. If you are a UK taxpayer, by signing a Gift Aid declaration, we are able to claim back an additional 25% on all donations and subscriptions from HM Revenue and Customs.
