Fundraising
1st Framwellgate Moor Scout Group is a registered charity, run entirely by our amazing team of dedicated volunteers. We rely on donations and fundraising, along with our subscriptions, to enable us to provide our young people with fun, adventure and skills for life.
The money we raise helps to buy new and replacement equipment, as well as help us to improve and maintain our Scout Hut.
We also have a hardship fund that our Scout families can access – making sure that cost is not a barrier to Scouting.
Occasionally we also fundraise to help young people and volunteers attend international events – recently our young people and volunteers have fundraised to be able to attend Moots and Jamborees in Canada, Japan, Iceland, USA and Switzerland.
We are currently looking to expand our fundraising – this page will be updated regularly with new ways to help us fundraise.
Donations and Fundraisers
Givey
We are using Givey as our online donation and fundraising platform. 100% of your donation will come to us (Givey will add a 5% fee on top of your donation to cover their administration costs). Click here to donate.
If you would like to fundraise for us by doing a sponsored activity, please contact us so that we can help with your efforts on our behalf. We can help you to get set up on Givey, provide imagery for your fundraising page and also promote your fundraiser on our social media sites. We might even be able to get some of our Young People to come along and cheer you on!
Group Store
We will soon have our own store where you can purchase Group clothing.
An amount of the sale of each item will come back to Scout Group funds.

EasyFundraising
We are registered with EasyFundraising, which means over 4,000 shops and sites will now donate to us for FREE every time you use EasyFundraising to shop with them.

Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a really important source of funding for the group. If you are a UK taxpayer, by signing a Gift Aid declaration, we are able to claim back an additional 25% on all donations and subscriptions from HM Revenue and Customs.
